The short:
Cacti can adapt to extremely arid and hot environments with adaptations that conserve water and improve heat radiation.

Description:
The ghecko has an amazing ability to climb vertical surfaces and hang even upside down. The way it achieves this amazing adhesion is by having millions of microscopic keratin hairs called setae on the surface of each foot that wrap around any slight texture and surface it can find. Each hair acts as a sort of suction cup, and collectively, millions of these hairs produce a powerful adhesive effect.
Application – natural and non-toxic forms of adhesion. Adhesives are amongst the nastier compounds used in our world for glueing, however the ghecko has inspired a tape adhesive and the ability for people to climb walls.
